How we use the details you send us.
Who we are
Sash Restoration London Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. We are a company registered in England, company number 11764569, with our registered office at Arquen House, 4-6 Spicer Street, St Albans, England, AL3 4PQ. We are a studio of The Barnsbury Group.

What we collect
When you use the enquiry form on this website we collect your name, email address, phone number and postcode, the service you are interested in, what you tell us about your windows, and any photographs you upload. Photographs can show the inside or outside of your home, so please avoid including people or anything you would rather we did not see.
If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, we collect your name, number or address, your messages and any photographs you send.
If you go ahead with work, we also keep the property address, access arrangements, your quotation, correspondence about the job, and invoice and payment records.
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and your approximate location. We do not ask for, and do not need, any special category information such as health details.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use your enquiry details and photographs to reply to you, assess your windows and prepare a written quotation. Our lawful basis is that you have asked us to take these steps before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
If you go ahead, we use your information to carry out and manage the work, on the basis of our contract with you. We keep financial records because the law requires us to. Analytics cookies are used only with your consent.
The consent box on our form confirms you are happy for us to contact you about your enquiry. We do not sell your information. We will only send you marketing if you have asked us to, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
Who processes it for us
Netlify hosts this website and receives and stores enquiry form submissions, including uploaded photographs, on our behalf. Google provides Google Analytics, which runs only if you accept analytics cookies. WhatsApp, owned by Meta, carries any messages you send us that way. We also use email, accounting and job-management services to run the business. These providers act on our instructions and use your information only to provide their service to us.
If your job needs it, we share the details needed with other studios in The Barnsbury Group: Barnsbury Joinery, our manufacturing studio, where new sashes or windows are made, and Heritage Window Consultants, where a survey or report is needed. They use it only for that work. We may also share records with our professional advisers, such as our accountants, and with anyone we are legally required to.
Some of these providers are based in, or process information in, the United States. Where information is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as adequacy regulations or approved contract terms.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics with Google Consent Mode, set to denied by default. No analytics cookies are placed and no analytics information is collected unless you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not lead to work, we keep your details and photographs for 12 months from our last contact, in case you come back to us, and then delete them. This includes copies held by our website host.
If we carry out work for you, we keep the job records, including your quotation, correspondence and invoices, for six years after the work is completed, to meet our tax obligations and deal with any questions about the work.
Analytics information is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account and is then deleted automatically.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to have it deleted where we no longer have a reason to keep it. You can also ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it on the basis of legitimate interests, and ask for information you gave us in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To use any of these rights, email info@sashrestorationlondon.com. We will respond within one month, and there is normally no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if the way we handle personal information changes. This version was last updated in October 2026.
